Kanso

Write with less in the way.

Markdown · CodeMirror 6 · TypeScript · Local-first

A quiet, local-first Markdown editor for the browser. Kanso renders Markdown in place as you type, and moving the caret into formatted text reveals the syntax behind it, so there is no split between editor and preview to work across.

Built with CodeMirror 6 and TypeScript. Focus and typewriter modes keep attention on the current line, notes are stored locally in IndexedDB, and anything written can leave as Markdown or PDF.

A keyboard-first start page I built for myself and use every day. The notes workspace became the part I rely on most, with Markdown, code snippets, bookmarks, and quick ideas always close at hand.
